Tech USA is Hiring a Construction Foreman Near Wernersville, PA

JOB SUMMARY: The General Construction Foremen are working on-site managers. He or she will lead two to four trades people, skilled laborers, and subcontractors. General trade experience is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Enthusiastic and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are tactful and diplomatic.
  • Strong leadership skills. Highly organized.
  • Ensures that all materials, equipment, and tools necessary for jobs are available at the job site.
  • Identifies when change orders are required for additional project work and successfully executes such change orders.
  • Ensures that all repair and maintenance is performed routinely on all vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Ensures the proper training of reporting personnel in their duties and conscious of any safety issues on the job site.
  • Ability to understand and use basic computer programs including email.
  • Enforce OSHA guidelines and compliance.

•Complete incident analysis reports.

  • Ensures that good housekeeping is practiced on all job sites and in all company vehicles.
  • Conducts job safety review at job sites, follows up on violations, maintains first aid kits.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read and communicate blueprint details.
  • Some subcontractor scheduling and coordination.
  • Troubleshooting project challenges.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager regarding equipment, material, subcontractors and inspections.
  • Understand and appreciate job costs and staying within budget. Track job hours, equipment, materials and subcontractors. Note any delays on daily job log.
  • Take weekly pictures for job documentation.
  • Report any value engineering that may improve job efficiency.
  • Able to operate laser and transit and layout projects.
  • Job planning and general takeoffs.
  • Issue warnings to crew members as needed for tardiness, poor attendance, willful defiance, etc.
  • Complete employee evaluations.
  • Conduct Weekly Toolbox talks.
  • Good people skills. Get along well with co-workers and cultivate client relationships.
  • Experience in operating excavation equipment such as mini-excavators and skidloaders.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain DOT physical for company vehicle use.
  • Concrete finishing and carpentry skills a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or GED, and minimum of two years experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High school level – basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

REASONING ABILITY: Basic problem-solving skills necessary to bring a job to completion.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current Pennsylvania Drivers License and own transportation.

TOOLS REQUIRED: Concrete tools – trowel, magfloat, margin trowel, boots, claw hammer, tape measure, small sledgehammer to be provided by the employee.

GENERAL NOTE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, knee pads, hard hats and all power tools, shovels, etc. provided by client

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Experience level:

  • 3 years

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Construction Foreman: 2 years (Required)
  • Construction or Carpentry: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Wernersville, PA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
